Long Lake

How is the walleye fishing this year? ​

Yeah generally speaking the big south part of the lake is open. Just drove the entirety of County M up to B this afternoon and I saw a boat out as well. I have no report on the narrows/northern part of the lake. With that said, not all hope is lost! Shorelines and bays certainly still have ice and the best news is, after a seven day stretch of above freezing temps (not even below freezing at night) here in the northwoods, we  have now dropped back below freezing and will remain that way for at least what the seven to ten day extended forecast says.

Lake is wide open. Saw a boat yesterday.

Anyone know what the ice is like or lack of ice on Long Lake? Thank you!

Narrows open water bring boat, rockford sketchy/ checkered,water open at town hall. No new ice going to be made for the next 15 days. Report from long lake bait and tackle

what are ice conditions on long?  assume north end is still open?

Fished Memorial Day weekend on Long Lake - Put in on the West landing off of M. First boat on the lake at 5:15am, some guys (Probably not local) partied at the boat landing and left Busch Light cans all over the landing parking lot (Please toss the trash away, there is a garbage in the bathroom at the landing.

Pike we're eating our leeches while we were slip bobber fishing for walleye off weed beds. Only caught a few walleye throughout the day (I never fished the lake for walleye out of a boat yet, so we were learning).

Bluegills were on the beds and big, Rock bass stealing bait every other cast.

Got dads new Lowrance HDS live units hooked up and his new Minn Kota Terrova calibrated to the i-Pilot doing a few simple circles with his big motor.
