My buddy’s sister had a house on the lake and we used to fish it 25-30 years ago. There was a good population of nice Bass and Panfish. We used to get some pretty good size Pike through the ice on tip ups too. I’ve been tempted to go try it again and see if it’s still a good little lake

No real secrets in this lake.  It can get pounded in the winter.  It's a pothole lake, so head to the middle and fish in 25 to 30 feet of water. Most fish in my experience (20 years ago when I was in college) were on the bottom and bit in the morning and right before dark. Bluegill and crappie.  It's a fun bass lake to fish in the summer and is a slow no wake lake so there's not much boating pressure. I used to wade out near the white pier and catch bass with a wacky rig.

Since this thread came alive, how’s the fishing out here? Spotted the lake on maps since I moved here and planned to hit it this ice season. Patiently waiting through this warm spell

Kwai King,

Very likely the answer to you question is none- we have had temps in the 50’s and almost a half of inch of rain yesterday.  I drove past three Washington County lakes this weekend (Big and Little Cedar and Bark) which are further north than Pleasant and there is no ice and water temps are in the upper 30’s.  From the reports I have seen, you likely need to travel 200+ miles of the Illinois/Wisconsin state line to find safe/fishable ice
