Delavan Lake

Saw the piers were in today. 

Got out yesterday from noon til 4. We caught probably 60+ gills and kept one limit of 7.5 to 9 inchers. Water was 45 when we dropped anchor and 48 when we left. Fished 2-4 fow. Redworms were the bait of choice. Tried plastics with limited success. Looks like next weekend will be even nicer with an opportunity to try other areas.

Did some open water fishing with the beautiful weather. Mostly pan fished. The gills are so small they could not swallow my hook, all they did was steal my waxie . I couldn't catch one. Green slime and muck building up. Also where i was fishing the weeds were already cresting the water, looks to be a big weed season ahead of us, 10,000 baby gills EVERY WHERE. Future looks good...

When does my account expire

Took my sweetie for a ride today. Started in Waukesha county. Most of the lakes are still  tight with ice. Phantom was half open. Went south, lakes in Kenosha were mostly wide open. Te rest will be in 2 or  three days. Made a few casts at Silver but no takers. Had lunch and headed to Geneva. In town by the liebary, lots of ice. But around the big wood docks, wide open. I say two days and it will be gone. . Como, wide open. Went to Williams bay, wide open. Two trailers in the lot. Half a dozen people fishing along the shore. The Warden was getting tired, so I did not try. Headed to Delavan. Launch is wide open. Inlet about half open. There was enough for me to fish. But again my bride was fading, so I headed for home. I am to stupi to make this message system work. Hello! Are folks still able to get out on the ice from Bluegill road or American Marine? Looking to get out there tomorrow but not sure if shore ice is solid enough

Anybody find a white bucket with a hole in it and a black bag and socks on the ice on Friday evening?  Please let me know greatly appreciated!

I was on Lakeland Bay today and there was approximately 5" of ice everywhere. A week ago, I was in the same spot and there was about 7" of ice.
