I stay on this lake for a week every June. Below average lake. Have had decent success raising smallies, but usually in the 13-16" range. Occasional northern in the 20-24" range. Over the years, have caught only one walleye. There are definitely largemouth in here, but good luck raising them. Shoreline provides poor structure for the gills. Not a terrible lake, but the bottom line is that we use the cottage on this lake as a hub to get to better action in Vilas and Forest counties. Wish I could be more positive.

Sleeper of a lake fished mostly by residents. A little work and you may get some of the nice smallmouths or walleyes that aren't supposed to be there. Panfish have really taken off in the past few years with many bluegills in the 7-8 inch range. Early ice fishing for walleyes and northerns is good with the 8-12 fow range on the west shore being best.
