Whitefish Bay, WI
4 star rating
Small but gorgeous lake in Vilas County. Less than 20% of its shoreline is privately owned, the rest is undeveloped state land. Maximum depth of 60 feet, and the water gets deep in a hurry as you head out from all shorelines. No hidden obstacles or unexpected shallow spots. A smaller lake at 157 acres, but it?s large enough and shaped right for powerboat water sports. The few times I?ve been here the water was very clear - at least 15 feet of visibility. Very nice and deep concrete launch ramp with dock and paved parking stalls. Does not have a swimming beach, which is unfortunate because it would be a great swimming lake.
