Flambeau Lake

I actually saw the posting on the bulletin board at the Fence Lake boat launch. I remember it being there back in July and was still up when I fished the lake on Sunday 10/1. I thought it was odd and figured I'd ask. Sounds like the fish have all but disappeared from that lake and nobody knows what happened or why. 

it is closed because when they do the fyke net survey in spring there is nothing in there nets  for several yearswhy I dont know 

Where did you see the closing, I was there a week or so ago didnt see anything?

I see this lake is closed to walleye and muskie fishing. Not being over familiar with this chain why is that? 

Make sure the home your buying isn't on a road with tribal easement issues. 

I have a cottage on North Placid and tritoon with 300 and I can get to all the lakes on the chain except for Moss. I probably could get in there too but not worth the possible damage to the motor to me. My neighbors tritoon has a 150 and he won’t try it either. I’ve seen plenty coming through and gunning it and shooting up sand. Fishing boat should be fine.

I lived full time on this chain for 13 years. Yes, you can get to all the lakes by pontoon except for the 2 Placid lakes.  The tribal launch is right at the campground just west of the casino on your left- you can’t miss it.  I would recommend using it.

Thanks guys.  New to the area, looking at buying a cabin on Moss Lake and am doing some homework first.  So, sounds like there is boat access from Moss to Long Interlaken and Flambeau under the HWY D bridge, how about the other lakes in the chain?  Do you think pontoon boats can get through?  Also, where is the tribal launch?

​No launch on Moss, ​one on Poke and north end of Flambeau if you do not want to ​use Tribal launch.
