The only public launch on Fishtrap is way down river just above the "dam". I know the access point you're referring to and while I can't say with 100% certainty, if you give the culvert area a wide berth coming and going I'd imagine you'd be fine. Maybe call Northern Highlands Sporting Goods and ask as they likely have more direct knowledge. I just vacationed up there in July one time. Awesome lake, though. Would love to ice fish it myself. High Lake too, but again, the access point is a current area. 

Anyone ice fish Fishtrap lake?  Don’t think there’s a public boat launch but there is a little pull off on High Pines Ln where Grassy Creek comes in from High Lake.  Guessing with the creek current it wouldn’t be ideal driving a quad out from there but interested to hear if anyone has accessed the lake this way in winter.  Feel free to PM me as well.   TIA

When fishing for the same species on Fishtrap and High Lake, are they totally different lakes on any given day when looking for Walleye, crappie, and muskie?   Any news on the Mayflies and skeeters, or how long they usually last?  Thanks.
