This lake is good as long as you've got a map/guide/electronics. The island as well as the bay in the southern part of the lake are worth checking out. I've caught nice smallies and seen guys catch big musky off the lake's sandbars.

Clean and beautiful lake. I have heard about and seen some nice fish in the past but that was a long time ago. Musky are rare-I haven't seen a ski in 6 years on Crawling Stone. Smallies still pretty good but better opts nearby. Unfortunately, last time up in 2012 we were eating lunch on the lake and heard the bartender at a place on Flambeau bragging that her brother took a 32 inch musky that afternoon and it was in the freezer. Real shame but that seems to be pretty common on res lakes. And there is nothing that can be done. Heard similar story about walleyes being harvested and left to die up on shore because treaties permit ridiculously large bag limits. More than they can use. If they aren't careful they will end up losing more business should the fishing continue to decline.

Good lake for Gills and Bass. Tough to find spots but when you do it will produce awesome fishing. Very Clear and Sandy lake.
