Shawano Lake

fished last night for a few. hours looking for perch and gills.foynd some perch and gills in 8 to 12 fow.kept 15 total.you can catch all the crappie you want on north end if you put the time in.find some weeds you should get them.last year I saw tons of crappie in 2 feet off water by cat tails  well gonna go fish wild today I'm thinking.

fished yesterday pretty much just in the bay.water temp was 47 ish.funny thing was I didnt mark many fish in my spring spots. so I drove around the whole bay same thing.
I did catch a few small perch no gills or crappie.heard from a good source ice out a guy caught 15...16..inch perch.not big numbers but still.ok all I got for now.

put in at cecil county park today. fished the bay for a couple hours..gills bitten on spikes and ice fishing jigs..8 to 10 feet of water.saw a few fish in shallow but spooked easy.
 well 30s and 40s will shut it down for sure.
oh also some ice chunks still around so watch for them

cecil bay is wide open now.saw a pontoon boat and a fishing boat out there too..

well 9ce went off main lake last night cecil bay ice ice pretty black should be gone by weekend.   was a short ice season this year.boat going in tomarrow I hope.😁

I just got off the lake I walked on by cystal drive ice is honey comb but I didn't have any issues.we did lose ice over the weekend. thinking tomorrow will be my last day going out there.
fishing was ok for the little time I was out there..crappies are hitting but nothing really big

Any updates on how the ice is holding up?  I was hoping to try walking out from either County Park or Cecil Bay tomorrow, if possible.  Thanks!

 Thanks much ! Not super familiar with the lake so that helps !!  Definitely give it a try in the afternoon. Ever get any bass out of there during the winter ?

I'm fishing in 6 to 10feet of water with weeds.spikes seem to work best for me with red jig and backside is white glow in dark.
