I've heard there was some effort to save Grimh Flowage, but that money -- or more specifically, the lack thereof -- is the reason it has run virtually dry (although there was a little water in it the weekend after July 4). It's a shame, really, to lose such a valuable resource. Perhaps as the area grows more dense with people moving/recreating there from the cities, demand for the dam's repair will bring the flowage back. If anyone has/gets news on it, please e-mail [email protected]. Thanks in advance!

Thirteen years ago I moved to Radisson village. Grimh Flowage was popping with fish and happy tourists. Families enjoyed pleasant boating while boys splashed in the clear water. Now it's a buggy swamp. Thanks to the DNR and power company for destroying a beautiful lake.

I was up to visit this flowage, created when the dam was built and Grimh Electric was created. The site is nearly dried up now, and I would like to save Grimh Flowage. If anyone reads this and can respond to what is currently being done to save Grimh Flowage, please write me at [email protected]
