This lake has some nice fish. It is also a fine habitat for turtles and other native creatures, The key is fishing the drop-offs most of the time. The shallows are productive durng low light hours. For panfish, use small pieces of nightcrawlerrs. This adds plenty of scent. A slip bobber lets you cast farther and gets your bait to the fish, Pike are found on steep drop-offs. Pinpoint location is important. Otherwise, catches are not as good. It also takes just a couple of nauseating jet skiis or speed boats pulling rubber rafts to make the fishing experience into something not worth the effort. The lake cannot support much boat activity. Forget the walleye fishery or the trout fishing activity by late August. Walleye should by stocked and not trout. The trout are stocked because Doug Welch, the SE fishery boss says they are cheaper than walleyes to stock. nough. For local fishing information in addition to the fine information on Lake-Link, sign up for the free Milwaukee Fishing Examiner column at http://www.examiner.com/fishing-in-milwaukee. Joining a local instructive fishing club did a lot to help me increase my catch. Going out with club members is an excellent way to learn fishing methods and tactics. www.wisconsinfishingclub.com tojoin. Beside this club, Walleyes Unlimited, Okauchee Fishing Club, Walleyes Unlimited, Salmon Unlimited are excellent. You can find out more by clicking on the club names as listed on the Wisconsin Council of Sport Fishing Organization's site at WCSFO on the Internet. Thank you.
