This lake is close to my place, so easy enough to get on and catch a few, even when I only have a couple hours to fish. I have fished it primarily from a float tube, and just got a kayak I'll try out when Spring comes. I mostly fish it in early Summer and early fall just at sunrise. The bluegills and small bass can be found on the breaks (10-15 fow) using a drop shot or float. In the middle of Summer you can catch nice gills on the surface over the weed beds during an insect hatch. I have used the fly rod during those times with excellent results. It used to be a terrific Winter pan fishery but it got hammered too hard. It's a pretty little lake with no motors allowed so if you want solitude, this is a good one.

If you take some time to figure it out you will see how great of a fishery it is. As in any other small lake, you will have tough days. Just have to stick with it and learn where the fish go in each season. Great, peaceful boat tube lake. Not much for bass anymore, lots of under the slot fish around 11". The gills are impressive at times and crappies are nice average fish. The occasional big perch as well. Good clean water too!

There are huge pannies in this little lake, catching 9-10" bluegill isnt that uncommon for us, you just need a little effort to find the fish!!! Good numbers of bass as well.
