This lake froze out about 10 years ago and the size and number of pike just isn't rebounding. Now it is one of those "good old days" lakes.

Really long hike for really small fish. Must have been some nice fish in here 100 years ago, now, all snake pike. Panfish must have been hit hard too because in 7 hours we only caught 8 keeper bluegill. Fun lake for a kid maybe, chasing small northern flags. But like I said, that's a long hike with a shack, auger and all your ice gear for fish that just aren't worth it.

Gorgeous scenery as stated. Fished it numerous times in the last 4 years. Lots of pike in there. But, the size is small. I think it's a place where if you had fewer pike, they could grow huge, as must have been the case in the past. I missed that window, This body of water is so "pikey" looking they must have thrived and now they must have stunted. Haven't fished it in a year though. Always good to be out there.
