good lake flat but good weeds in the summer. Got some nice fish during the day I fished it. Want to mabey ice fish the lake anyone know the ice thickness or if the bite is good?

Fished it two good times this winter, caught some big pike and pan fishing was very slow. I heard it was good pan fishing but couldn't get much. I have also heard the pan fishing is slowing down because it is out fished. I don't know how to get onto it when water is open, I heard there was a guy you would pay $4 and he would let you put your boat in but not sure if he still does it or if he is still around.

I have fished this lake for years for Crappie and Bluegill and it has been hammered by meat hunters taking many limits of 50 fish when spawning. I saw posts/pics from fishermen boasting about limit catches only to see 8" crappies (Disgusting). The quality of fishing has diminished greatly and will take years to return if ever. This is a small lake and it can't sustain the type of pressure applied year after year.
