I also fish this section of the Flambeau the same week every year. During that time we can catch Smallies all day up to 5lbs. Muskies are around as well as some Walleye, just hard to keep the Rock Bass off of your line! Be careful of the rocks & dead heads.

I fish this river week-long on vacation each year. It does have public access with a ramp, but only one spot that I know of. It is right on the highway and is called either 6 or 7 mile landing. River is wide and has great potential for small mouth, walleye, and Musky, and Northern. Lots of cottages on this section of the Flambeau River, and on some days can find a lot of boats out fishing. Great cover and habitat. Be careful near the Pixley dam if there hasn't been much rain. On the Crowley Dam end, the water is very deep. Beautiful area with lots of Bald Eagles flying around. Gorgeous!
