The lake access is terrible. Nearly dumped the boat off its trailer in the potholes and when I got to the water it was a mucky, slimy quicksand mess then 300 yards of lily pads before any clear water fishing. Then there was very little action except for undersized sunfish. I would not waste my time on Swede Lake.

Swede Lake is very good for Bluegill! There are plenty of them that can be found all over the lake. Bass Fishing is pretty decent aswell. There are however Northern Pike and crappie in the lake but not as many as bluegill and bass. I've caught many bluegill in winter and summer and really have't had a problem catching the limit.
