We got up pretty early on a Saturday morning, the sun was shining, and not too warm. It looked like a great day to fish! It was tough to find the fish but once we did the fishing was actually pretty decent. We caught numerous perch (some decent size ones) and we also caught quite a few northern pike (mostly snakes, biggest was 23 inches). Had two follow ups on a smaller buck tail but no takers! A small weight with a jig head and minnow did the trick. We did the best in 6-8 feet of water. When in doubt go where all the other boats are!

Got out on the lake on Sunday to try and get on the crappies but no luck. Few crappies in about six foot of water. Still to early.

The real fishing beauty of pickerel lake is that you can catch any major species at any time in almost any productive fishing spot. These locations have at least the potential to produce some very decent size fish, including musky and northern. Personally, it is my all time favorite lake to fish and relax.
