Lake used to have a bad crawfish problem, but with proper Bass management, the crawfish are not much of an issue anymore and the Smallmouth Bass population is great . Lots of Muskies for this body of water and lots of walleye, but the walleyes are small eater size. The Lake is not too big and not to small, learn the lake and have great fun fishing it.

fished this lake twice now; full days. good size lake; not too big, not too small. you don't feel overwhelmed when launching your boat. somewhat sheltered, so the wind factor is cut down a bit. good depth and good variety of depths. clear water, but hvy green tint. fished in Oct. and suspended debris/sm particles in water very heavy. lack of vegetation and overall structure prevents higher rating. lack of bait fish being marked also a concern.

Very good lake. Plenty of structure and a decent population of food for gamefish gives this lake big fish potential. Great muskie lake. Not much fishing pressure. Busy lake on summer weekends. Good walleye and bass population. Abundant panfish. Good thumb-to-pinky size crappies. Crayfish population exploding and starting to effect the shallows. Voluntary Bass catch and release lake to help with the crayfish. I have relatives who own property on the lake and love getting up there every chance I get. Email me if you need any info on this lake and I'll see if I can help ya out. Good luck and good fishing.
