We rent a cabin here for a week every year in August. Very peaceful lake. Fishing has always been fun, but challenging. We've had slow days, but usually quite productive. We average 100+ panfish a day, including bluegill, perch, and an occasional crappie. Have caught a couple nice bass, and a northern or two have snapped or line before landing them. We only keep enough for two meals each year. Not sure what everyone else is complaining about. If you try to catch fish you will, they're not going jump in the boat by themselves.

This lake used to produce some decent fish, but I think with the weeds and the fishing pressure, especially the ice fishing, the lake has been pushed beyond the limits. The lake assocation used to stock the lake, but I have heard that has stopped due to lack of funds and donations. Such a shame, was a good lake a decade ago. 2013 proved to be a waste of time on this water.

Great lake...for swimming. Fished all day and night, caught one northern 15" and a few underfed pannies.
