This lake and river used to be on the best ever for all kinds of fish. Very large crappies, blueguill, perch, northern, catfish, bullhead, etc. But the DNR has ruined it by continually draining it down trying to kill weeds. Last fall (2008) they drained the river completely now there isnt hardly any fish left at all. Mostly northern that lasted. And the weeds are back too. Makes no sense what they are trying to do. They didnt even clean out the river area either. At least if you are going to drain it, dredge the river channel back out and clean up some of the stumps. What a disaster. This lake will be dead for years to come.

Great largemouth lake for both numbers and size! Have caught largies up to six pounds. Shallow water, flooded timber, and thick weeds equal no waterskiers. Gotta love it!

Great lake for bluegills. Weeds up pretty bad mid summer, but makes great for bass and pikes. Nice little dam below it holds smallmouth, walleye, crappie, gills.
