I fished this lake a lot as a kid. I have pulled some monster pike out of here using johnson silver minnows with uncle josh pork trailers. Also got lots of big crappies in the spring just throwing jigs. This lake had a lot of snakes along the shore lines that could keep you busy all day long. Unfortunately, the lake found recreational purposes other then fishing for others and is no longer such a hot spot. Maybe some day it will return to what it used to be.

I'll rate this lake a 4. I hold my ice fish'n derby here every year, the weekend before Valentines day. Last year the longest Northern winner that day, was 37 inches. Very nice crappies in this lake. There are nice perch if you find them. You like tip ups, this is the place to go. Dont forget the derby every year!!
