Awfully tough lake to fish. Shallows are very warm in August (75-78F) and really small largemouth (6-9") are present, but few good ones. Clear lake. Not much structure at all, lots of sand. Did see a 21-25" LG bass swim after a Skitter Walk of mine, but I think your time is better spent elsewhere.

WHAT! Newton lake has the best fishing in all the land. You will find bass n bluegil n pan fish n catfish n minows, n bullheads, n sturgon, n walleye, n HUGE muskey, n Andyfish, n Rickyfish, But make sure u watch out for the sand bar cuz it'll getcha!
