We fish off the shore with our two children using wax worms. As soon as the bait is in the water, we've caught a bluegill or crappie. They're small but it's still fun for the little ones. This lake is a popular spot for water sports. It's our favorite lake in the area.

great bluegill fishing in during spawn. Never caught a very good pike there though but the bass fishing is good at times. the lake seems to be getting muddier . Too many bullheads and carp

The lake does have its ups and downs. since the kill off we have got no less than thirty in about 5 hours. last time we went with 3 people we limited out in 3 hours. We no sooner got our bobber in the water and there was a bite great fishing for bluegill. I have got a 22 inch small mouth and a 34 inch pike. on average for the bluegill they are around 7 inchers so not huge but we eat them. over all great like to fish if you know were to go we have a spot no one knows how to get at also so that may help. try this lake in about 3-5 feet of water with red worms or wax worms NOT MINNOS set your bobber about 1 foot off the bottom with a slip bobber.
