I've been fishing this lake for a good ten years now. It can be very difficult in the summer when there is a lot of traffic. In the summer early morning bass fishing is usually pretty good. Northern can be found, though I haven't had any big ones. I've caught a lot of enormous crappie (14-15") jigging. There's a lot of topography on this lake, so having an understanding of what structure fish like is key.

Great lake for bass and walleye. Especially out around the underwater island near the center of the lake. Spring can be especially good for spawners. Lots of different types of cover too choose from depending on the day, light penetration, weather and other local factors. Very busy with boaters on weekends though. Get there early as fishing gets tough with all the pleasure seekers and water skiers.
