Fished this lake for about 12 years now and it isn't very productive in my opinion. My suggestion would be to not waste your time in the actual lake fishing, but rather go where the Lemonweir River flows into the lake under the interstate (along the backside of the lake) or where the Lemonweir flows out of the lake along the south. The actual lake is too weedy for much casting, and large Pike can be taken out of the Lemonweir pools to the north, and nice Smallies below the dam to the south.

I've fished this river all my life(all 15 years) and we catch some nice fish on it every year. Ice fishing or in the summer its a good area!
