Fished this flowage and below the spillway for about 10 years now and it isn't really worth the trouble of fighting off the horrendous swarms of bugs! Had good luck several years ago below the spillway catching large Pike. However, recently I've had the best luck above the spillway in the main body with sucker minnow and bobber, and also bucktail red/white mepps #4s. Catch average sized Pike and medium sized Largemouth. Not sure why Muskie are listed as a present fish on this flowage.

Lots of bugs. Go figure central wisconsin!
I have caught a couple of med smallish large mouths in river flowing out towards the eagle's nest flowage. Bullheads of course. Nice quiet area. I pray it stays that way!!!!
