Have fished this lake for over 45 years. Have great memories catching huge bluegills and crappies in early spring in the many shallow bays around the lake. Used to have a very special place off Blackbird point in the 70s and 80s that was fantastic fishing for 10 to 12 inch gills by the cooler full. Also have caught 15 to 20 pound northerns in Norwegian Bay in the dog days of summer. This lake also has potential to reward you with some of the biggest walleyes in the state if you know the secret. A special lake that will reward you with a lifetime of memories.

One of my favorite lakes to fish in the state. Unbelievable smallmouth fishing, nice size bluegills, walleyes are becoming more abundant and jigging for lake trout. It is a big, clear body of water that can be hard to figure out, but there is always an opportunity to catch quality fish.
