plenty of nice bass to catch, but lots of thick weeds. Also some smaller northern. Overall nice fishing.

This is a great lake. It is now stocked with bluegill, crappie, bass, and catfish. Be careful there are many restrictions. I have caught some HUGE bluegills and some very nice crappie. Plenty of smaller bass, 10-15 inches. Size limits are huge, which I think is great. 20" bass only 2 24" catfish only one. I grew up fishing this lake and I watched it decline. Now they have really fixed it. It is shallow so in the summer the weeds really grow to the top. I suggest trying it out, but please, bring a camera. Take a picture and let it go. It is a great place for kids to fish with a bobber and worm from shore.
