My family owned cottages on this lake and I grew up and learned to fish here. Yes the weeds have always been there and you need to know where and how to fish them. I always fished for bass and have caught many up to 6 pounds.I developed a milk run and a 25 fish morning was common. You must learn to use weedless baits and one of my favorites was the 7 1/2" Berkley power worm in purple. Throw it on the outside edges of bullrush beds. Also on the rock piles if you can find them. Top water first and last 2 hours of the day.

Northern Pike are Hitting on Shad raps, but weeds are trouble. lots of action with great views. Small Pans are easy to catch just find a hole in the weeds with depth about 3-5 feet. I started jigging like ice fishing with ice fishing tear drops and caught one after the other. Total caught in 6 hours 77 with 2 fishing, 15 keepers. BRING THE KIDS !!!!
