The DNR has seriously damaged this once beautiful fishing lake. It is way too shallow and wild rice is over running the lake. There has been no re-stocking effort after a major winter kill two years ago when they lowered the lake a foot. It is a dead sea and a waste of time to fish there. The negligence is tragic and frustrating.

I have lived on Little Rice lake for 12 years. It has been a tremendous fishing lake but a severe winter kill decimated the great populations of crappies, bluegills and bass that used to always be present. I hope it comes back soon.

I have fished this lake for 30 years. Yes it has been a great panfish lake. There are even BIG northern in it. They are just rare, But I have had a couple myself. And by rare, I mean a couple in 30 years...I wish the dam duck hunters unlimited would get the heck out of there. They are completely ruining the lake with that dam over aboundent wild rice.
