Went out today (8-21-16) for about 2 hours. Got a couple nice size bass off of some of the weed beds. Water clarity was great. I would have stayed out into the evening, but started down pouring. I'll be coming back to this lake with some fat heads for crappie.

I fish this lake consistently because my aunt lives just down the road, and I visit her a lot. This lake isn't fantastic, but I wouldn't say it is horrible either. I have caught 5 largemouth bass of at least 20 inches long (in the 5lb range). There are plenty of northerns in this lake, however, all that I have caught have been around 2 feet long at the most. There are also plenty of panfish including perch, bluegill, crappie, and white bass (if you consider white bass as a panfish). My grandpa has caught a couple crappies over the ten inch (i want to say around 12-14 inches) mark and I believe I have only got one over ten inches, however, I fish for panfish maybe once a year. In the winter pike fishing using tip-ups with live bait is very good. I have yet to figure out how to catch some panfish jigging.
