Fox Lake

The boulder......I though about putting a milk jug ala Canada on it at some point, but yes, I've been staying to the right and left of center going in and out.  Of course I never hit it with the old boat.  Looks like Saturday will be the same program as last weekend as where to fish based on the wind as long as we dodge possible lightening.  

Tim A First day with my new boat and I hit that too. Very large boulder. I tried putting a marker on it and someone kept removing the marker. Stay a little to the right going out and left coming in.

Fished Saturday afternoon, water temps were down to the low 50's.  Tried the government, but way too much wind that made it not fun fishing, so we found a kinda sheltered pretty shallow shoreline and missed 3 fish before landing 3 pike.  It's fun figuring out a new area that holds fish that goes against the grain of typical "rules".  I nailed something in the center of the channel heading out of the town boat launch just a bit east of the mouth to the main lake.  Ticked me off I buggered up the prop guard on the new boat.  I can't imagine flying through there and hitting what I hit.  

Hit Foxy yesterday AM, caught some lmb and pike (accidentally) in about 3-4 fow.  Water was 58 degrees.  

Did a few hours of fishing Saturday afternoon taking advantage of the open season bass CnR.  Missed one fish, found water pushing 48 degrees.  

Went dead island today didn't see a hole lot...alot of lookers also went to the jug and saw nothing.....got one criappe in 14-15 feet of water and marked alot even with LiveScope but no one was hungry still getting used to livescope....alot of boats around that island by town park water temp was 40-42 still to cold in my opinion for panfish 

I was out at the Hayes House on Saturday  and the lake was open. You have to go north of Rhinelander to find ice.

Is the lake open yet?

It looks like there is a open spot off the north shore and another smaller area around the town park from what I can see from yesterdays satellite ​picture.
