Almost skunked at Wingra ? or how I drove 200 miles for 2 fish LOL
Water temp was 83 degrees, saw some giant pike swimming around but not interested in eating.

Anyone looking for a boat partner to musky fish on opener or the week following? I'm a student at UW, I have all the gear needed, rods/baits/net etc., just don't have a boat in Madison obviously. Down to fish any lakes in the area. PM me if interested, would love to get out sometime during early season.

Submerged Vegetation

Fished today 2:30 - 7. Quite a few people out on Wingra. Low 40s/high 30s, dropped down to 22 when we left. Fished off Knickerbocker. Was pretty sloppy near the launch. Smashed some blues/perch on spikes. No size at all, bite was hot from 4:30-6 maybe 25/30 in 90 minutes, were hitting between 7-10 feet. One decent perch and a few crappie with minnows. Bite slowed a bit for 5 minutes, big old pike came through on the Aqua Vu. Ice was solid, some sloppy and slick areas though.
