Excellent fishing currently for Bass and Crappie. Supposed to be Walleye but haven't found them. That is why no size limit on Bass. Northern coming back with many in low 20inch range and a few in upper 20's Sporatic Swimmer's itch. Seems to be earlier in the year and not all get it. Need to use sun screen and towel off good when out of the water.

This is a round-shaped lake that is a little bigger than average for our area. I fish it during mid-week, and usually there are several boats at the landing - mostly panfishermen. Ocassionally there is a jet ski or two making waves. The boat landing is adqequate, but bigger boats might have some trouble getting in and out. Sometimes I have found that the ramp can be a little slick with sand over the pavement. I have seen 2-wheel drive vehicles burn lots of rubber trying to get a heavy boat out of the water. I have talked with several good fisherman and our area fish manager; all report that the walleye fishing has gone down-hill in recent years. In fact, the DNR and lake association are doing all possible to revive walleyes in the lake, including eliminating the size limit on bass in '05 and '06. The largemouth fishing can be good. I hear from locals that you can get swimmers itch from this lake.
