Lots of northern, haven't had too much luck on panfish, only caught a couple perch and some gills, but i never caught a crappie there

just came back, 5 people and caught about 170. fish all over screen but not bitting. gills were nice but crappies were average at best.

fished the chain last week and our group had the worst catch ever. the weather might have contributed to the poor numbers, and with the speeding boats and jet skies flying all over Prairie lake it was difficult to float through the schools. What we did catch were nice size crappies, but nothing at the 12" range reported. Most were still a respectable 10- 11" range. plastic tube jigs in chartreuse, or red head jigs with a blue and silver triple ripple worked better than anything. we couldn't get bites tipping jigs with waxies or crappie nibbles.
