Awesome. I tried going to Little Yellow during muskie opener but my boat as was just a bit too tall. I know little yellow always produce but there's no public access unless you go under the bridge from big yellow. Nice report. I'll have to try to make a trip up there.

Made the annual Father's Day trip to Yellow Lake the week of 6/17-23 with my Uncle and my 2 sons. Weather was unsettled, but managed to get about 20 bass throughout the week, biggest 17.5". My one son lost one that would've gone over 20. All bass on topwater plugs. Got 3 Muskies on spinner baits casting for pike...largest 38". Plenty of small northern, as always. Only walleye was caught on the last evening and was in the slot, so that was a kick in the teeth. Most fish caught on Little Yellow or down the river.
And my kids are 7 and 9 and like fishing, but were more interested in playing with cousins, innertubing, and playing in the arcade room. So between that and the goofy weather, I didn't really fish too much. But we did well on bluegills.
Weather was up and down. I arrived tuesday left today. I didn't fish yellow much. Fished the surrounding smaller lakes. Water temps were 71-73 on most lakes. Did have a 68 temp on 1 lake. Could not find any fish shallow other than in the loon lake chain of lakes. Gills were on beds there. Bass fishing was tough with fish on deeper breaks. Got some crappie, all on deeper weed edges. Didn't get to musky fish. Very windy with storms passing through. 4" of rain between sat when my family all arrived and tuesday when i arrived. Hailed one day. It was a wierd weather pattern and messed with the fishing. We did get some fish. A good time was had by all, which is really what it's all about. Biggest bass was 4" and 19". Fat and chunky. Very few pike..never fished for walleye. Good luck everyone.

There was a tournament held on Sunday. We found 15" of ice where we were fishing. There's ton of water on top of the ice. People drive super fast on this lake. As for the fishing report, we marked a ton of fish on every hole that we drilled; however, we just couldn't get the fish to bite. This is the first slow day on this lake for me, but i wasn't as active either because there were a lots of traffic and houses spread out on my main spots. We seen walleyes, perch and pikes pulled through the ice though. Crappies are smaller this year.
