Wisconsin River - Stevens Point, Portage County
If you want cats thru the ice... Fish the River inbetween stretch. Below the point dam down to dam across from the sewage treatment plant is filled with them. There's some good ice off of west River. I've seen some guys fishing around the slough and rock islands near the boat landing.

Tried the main channel out from Bukolt Park. Fished 20-27 feet. Marked a few but no takers. Tried rippin raps, spoons, raps, tipped with minnow head, bare, or full live minnow. Nice day. There was at least 20 inches of ice in the main channel. Mild current pulled some of the smaller spoons to the side.
Wondering if I will ever find catfish through the ice again.....

26° - 30° F
Fished north of red bridge yesterday for about an hour or so. Caught 5 perch, 2 crappie, and a pumpkinseed. Not too bad for an hours worth. Ice was good depth. Be back today for longer.
2 guys, sun up - sun down, 12/16 - 12/17
various spots in the stevens point area. Ice was generally 3"-5".
4 channel cats
worked hard and it paid off. most fish were caught on set-line fatheads but we picked up a few jigging during active periods. Panfish action was almost nonexistent everywhere we fished, despite trying for them. Tip- if you don't catch a fish in 30min - 1 hour, pick up and drive somewhere else. Don't wait for the bite to start, keep moving until you find active fish.
All caught and released.
