MOON PHASE (43%)
Waxing Crescent

CONDITIONS
Sunny

WATER TEMP
61° - 65° F
Fished Sat.am. out of High Cliff Park with 2 others. Waves were too big for regular fishing so I repeatedly plowed out straight into the waves then slow trolled with the strong wind by popping the motor in and out of gear. Lot of work for a white bass and 5 sheepshead. The sun shining made fishing comfortable enough with the cool wind. The dream of walleyes, perch or even a bass bite never materialized.

Bought a sticker for state parks and launched out of the marina for the first time in 5 years. I forgot how deep it gets right away in the northeast corner. Dropped lines in 17 feet and saw plenty of fish on the finder. None bit the trolled baits for 2 hours so we set up to drift and started catching some on crawlers. Small eater sized sheeps were biting but got tossed back. Two walleyes hit a harness and the other a jig dragging right on the bottom. The 58 degree water was pretty clean. Last time on Green Bay caught only sheeps so a change of scenery with winds from the right direction made for a nice day on the water.

Went out to high cliff to see how many boats were out and when I got there the fire dept. was there pulling a sunken boat out. Thats a bummer for whoevers boat that was. But the lake was pretty calm with lots of boats out plan on going out 2mmrow to try to catch some eyes.

It can be good if you time it right. Lots of walleyes if you know how to target them, yup even from shore

I'm going camping here next weekend, should I bother packing fishing gear, or is this place as bad as most of the reports say it is??

Has anyone been out trolling the East or North shore for walleye's yet? Was at the HC Marina on Sunday and there was not one trailer parked in the entire lot. Is it still to soon??

Thanks, Jigee
