MOON PHASE (78%)
Waning Gibbous

Guys are still catching a few white bass below nekoosa dam. Early morning and late evening has been the best for us.

3 ways with flies or plain hook with minnow worked the last 5 days. Purple/white flies,orange/white flies worked the best.

We have been trolling cranks mid day. A lot of small walleyes and white bass. few keeper walleyes. We have been trolling #4 hornets #5 flicker shads.20 to 25 feet back in 4 to 10 fow. Fish are tight to shore for the first couple hours and back off the bank mid day. Late evening fish move back up shallow.

Water temps have been on the rise with the warmer temps. Last few days the water has been in the 60s early morning and upper 60s to lower 70s late afternoon.

Good luck this holiday weekend

fished all day long on 5/22/16.  beautiful weather and low wind made for a great day on the water. morning bite was steady with some catfish mixed in ranging in the 1-5lb range.  bite slowed around 11am and picked up after 2pm till dark.  caught over 100 whitebass between me and my buddy.  the bite is still on, but you need to work for it, it wasn't every cast action but still good fishing.  we did a lot of moving around but every spot produced fish for us.  Minnows, hook, sinker or jighead.  that's all we used.

What are the Whities doing??? Any coolers being filled? I'd assume so, the Lilacs are in full bloom!

Any reports would be appreciated.

Fishing was slow today. Had to work hard for 20 WB using wolf rigger rigs w/large fat heads. Moved around quite a bit. Found most in deeper water w/mixture of males and females out from the park. The bite was lite.
