MOON PHASE
First Quarter

Late report but two weeks back on Tuesday and put a serious beating on the WB, fished for 3.5 hours and ran out of cooler space, headed home early to clean fish.  Would be hard to imagine that I wasn’t there at the peak of the upriver push, I’ve caught a lot of white bass but never that easily or that fast.

I rely on same principle ,lilacs blooming that is .I live in northern illinois so it comes earlier ,thats why 2 weeks ago when they started to bloom on my backyard i just packed up and got on river and did good basically anywhere i casted the jig. This weekend was tough ,i caught some but nothing like 2 weeks ago. This year spring arrived much later so nature is trying catch up ,runs of both walleyes and whiteys seem to be shorter

The Whitebass are definitely NOT 'done and gone'... Lilacs just opened to full bloom. I've been following this for 20 years and it's on target year after year... just gotta know where to find them.
