I'm heading to Webb Lake next week with the buddies for our annual Northern Wis fishing trip. Can anyone please provide water temp, fishing reports, etc? Thanks
Web's a good lake, in fact if your in the area and they aren't biting on Yellow do yourself a favor and explore. Many good smaller lakes with good pan fish, base, and wally's. With so many good lakes within 10 or 15 miles it's a pity to sit and piss and moan when it's so easy to find another lake.
Good luck and enjoy you visit.
I have a cabin on there and have fished it quite a few times in the summer in the last 3 years. Let me know if you have any summer fishing questions. I will try to submit an Ice Fishing report after this or next weekend.
I haven't actually fished Webb Lake (i fished for over 25 yrs at Des Moines and Birch Island) but some friends of mine did well last summer fishing weedbeds and also the pads between upper and lower Webb. They caught many small northerns and some bass, but did manage a northern in the 10lb. class casting a one ounce Rattletrap.
Hope this helps, and also if you could let me know if there's aplace to stay on Des Moines. Mack Ack1
