I live in town and is always convenient to put the canoe in a fish for a few hours. I've been fishing with night crawlers mainly and jigging Berkley Alive minnows. Night crawlers see the most action.

Went out Saturday and caught about 4 largemouth, all about 10". Caught about 4 bluegill, 3 were worth keeping.

Went out Sunday and didn't have a single bite the whole time.

I haven't had any luck with the Berkley minnows, gonna have to see what kind of luck some real minnows will have.

Does anyone know the regulation for using a boat here? Is an electric trolling motor allowed?

I would like to try my luck on the open water and see what I can get.

Ice is 9 inches thick. Drilled multiple holes all around the pit, inch thickness consistent. Son and I went out at 9:30. He caught 3 LB bass, all very small, the last wasn't bigger than a Chubb.

Wax worms and "mousys" got fish to follow but no hard hits.

Just seeing if anyone has ventured out to see what's doing in the pit. Last year was a bust so hoping this winter produces at least one catch.

I fished this lake through the ice about twenty times this year. I caught some pretty nice crappies, gills and perch but never had a really good day. I even fished it with a couple buddies all day with six tip ups sitting out all day long and never had a flag. Does anybody ever catch anything nice other than panfish here?

JigOrNot don't give up try a small 32 ounce black or purple jig with one spike.Jig lightly then stop repeat this. There's cribs in this Pond there's one in front of the beach my favorite or straight across the pond by the concrete wall 20 feet from shore that's another good area.I hope this helps. good luck be safe .Snagger 54

Not sure how to fish this body or water. Once again lots of fish on the viewer. Had a lot of fish check out the bait, crappy minnows but no takers. I think this will be that last visit for the winter. Sweating

Just for the heck of it, I am going to try this spot again tomorrow. I know there are fish in here, I see them on the finder. They will be mine, or yes, they will be mine.

Smile
