MOON PHASE (12%)
Waxing Crescent

ICE DEPTH
7 inches

WATER TEMP
Below 40° F

Fished today for about 5 hours all over the lake. As shallow as 3 feet up to 24. I only marked one fish. Visibility was about 10 feet and cloudy after that. Another guy caught a small northern and said they have been watching really small ones on camera.

A second guy commented that he has never caught bluegills as small as he has today.

Lots of people out today. Most places have 7 inches of ice up to about 10.

Fished here Sunday with no luck. Jigged all over for panfish and they were nowhere to be found. Got board and jigged a big white gulp for awhile and saw 2 nice size northern come up to it, no bites though. This lake has the clearest water i have ever seen, could see 20' down crystal clear when i was in my shanty.

Master Baiter...I was out on Monday and ice was 1.5" within 25 feet of shore (the shorelines of most of the area lakes opened up last week) and 3" elsewhere. The ice was very very weak. I'm assuming it's better now with the cold week.

Curious if anyone has ventured out here this week... Just want to know if the ice is safe I'm trying to take my dad out to a lake that you don't have to walk too far since I'll be carrying most of our gear Cool

Went here for the first time this year. The launch area is better - easier to get out of lake than to put in.

Fished 3 to 4 hours. Lots of tiny gills on crawlers and Gulp minnows. Tried casting frogs to no avail. Spinnerbaits along edge of pads worked best - got several nice bass - all just short of legal.

Went out on upper genesee for the first time today in my new (used) native watercraft. 6:30 - 11:30 AM. Nice little lake. Caught MANY largemouth bass and a few smallmouth too. Lots of panfish, but they were small. I thought about doing some dropshot crawlers in the deep hole, but I was getting so much action on the bass, I never really got a chance. probably caught 20 bass. Most were in the 12 - 14" range, but I released six larger ones as well. Kept two 16s for dinner for the family. Beautiful day!!
