It wasn't too bad, it's definitely been better than last summer. We had a pretty strong west wind when we were pulling out and that made it a bit more challenging. Then again, I was pulling my boat with a minivan - a truck probably would have helped.

How's the launch? I have often had trouble getting my boat off the trailer

Cold, windy weekend up north. Felt like fall, which makes me happy. Fished for about 4 hours Friday and Saturday, and another 2 on Sunday. Had a couple strikes and two follows on Saturday morning. Didn't see the whole fish on the strikes (~15 ft from the boat), but the two follows were between 40" and 45", nice fish.

Came up with my folks while my wife was out of town for the weekend. Brought my two kids (1.5 and 3.5 yrs old), so not too much time for fishing. Ended up with a couple LM and a decent sized pike, about 25" but pretty girthy. Saw only 1 muskie, a small guy who zipped away when he say the boat. Coming back up in a month, hopefully I'll get to put in a bit more time.

Came up for what will likely be my last trip of the season. It was cool and rainy, but not too windy. Saw seven muskies - most in 20 - 30 fow, just off the drop offs. Caught a smaller, feisty fish near a dock on the eastern sister, all other fish were seen on the western sister. Also caught some northern and largemouth bass. All in all, a pretty successful trip.

Big changes in weather during this trip from 9/18 - 9/22. The first two days were warm, partly cloudy, and relatively small wind. My fishing buddy hooked into ~ 3 ft musky using a topwater around 2 PM. The next two days were very cold, windy, and mostly cloudy. This seemed to turn the Muskies on a bit, and we managed 4 follows. Caught plenty of bass and a few northern in the process. The largemouth appear to be a bit bigger this year than in the past. Also had a big northern come up and inhale a bluegill while I was catching them off the pier with my 2 year old son. I had her on my line for a good minute before she decided to spit out the bluegill. It was a great experience, very glad my son got to see it.

Coming back up in mid-October, hope the lake will have cooled down a bit more by then and we'll get some consistent fall patterns.

Targeted dawn and dusk Muskies just before the Labor Day weekend tossing big blades, fast gliders, big rubber and tops. Not even so much as a follow fishing 6 different change of light periods. Crying

Was up this past weekend targeting Walleyes early morning and dusk to past dark. Nada. Just a mess of "undesirables" (rockies, small gills, LMB's and dink pike). Drifted deep rock points (25'-40') with crawlers and leaches. Slip bobbered deeper weeds (15'-20') in the evenings.

Anybody having any luck out there?

Was up from Saturday, 8/9 through Wednesday, 8/14. Didn't spend too long on the water, probably about 10 hours total.

Cool temps, especially overnight, and high winds made it feel more like late September rather than mid August. Caught some largemouth bass and some northern pike, all on Muskie gear. Had one Muskie follow in 20 fow off a weed bed on the western side of the western sister.

I'll be coming back up in mid September and hope to do a bit more fishing then, this was more of a family vacation.

fished a deep water hump for some walleye this weekend. Tried ealy morning and late afternnon. Got two smallmouth on tip ups with shiners in 17-22 fow. No walleye. Very slow. I should have been on the weed edge in 9 - 12 fow but there was too much snow on the ice to move around much.
