MOON PHASE (61%)
Waxing Gibbous

I see it’s on the supersight list.  I’m sure the money to clean it is more then they will spend so they just ly fines.  But those pictures intrigued me and I’m not even a bass guy.

Very much still posted and monitored for trespassing.  Doubt it will ever change considering the situation.  That said, there is a walking path actually worn in the grass back to it - I see it driving past.  IF I wanted to fish, I would avoid parking near there, and would fully understand getting caught would suck :)

Is this pond still off limits or is it open to fish.  I was shown pictures of 2 largemouth caught a few years ago.  Both were on scales and showed to weigh over 9 pounds.  Also was told crappies up to 17” were not uncommon!

Probably fished this pond more then anyone, live 5 miles away and used to fish it every day after school and on weekends with my buddies. Never got caught but my buddy was there by himself one day and was fishing with 3 poles and had fish on all 3 while dnr walked up on him trying to fight all 3 lol gave him a ticket for each pole which added up to over $500! Landfill polluted ponds but not the reason for the huge fish, fish are so big cuz of the forage there's Cisco, shad, golden shiners and schmelt in this pond by the boat load. My biggest fish was a 17" 3 pound 13 ounce white crappie that is still bigger then the state record! Never got it admitted cuz I'm a dumb ass but yea I got proof n everything if u wanna see it DM me, anyways I stopped fishing it cuz it was killed off and I mean killed off literally thousands up on thousands of dead fish along the shores just piled up! Huge everything, bass, gills, crappies, Cisco, shad, everything but big pile which I had expected to see but didn't, just really shows how tough those fish are! N u think that would have made those pike so much more aggressive cuz all there forage was gone but it didn't it was actually hard to catch or even raise a pike after that and soon it just wasn't worth it anymore! Anyways hoped this helped, remember they will give u a ticket if they catch u see stay keen and u better be fast!

If the parks department allows access why cant you fish it just let the fish go the epa has found arsenic in that water which kills so it your choice so I am unsure if it public or not

Yank, Why would you be worried about proper handling of the fish if he kept them? You have a 50% chance of being right and so do I!! Big Smile Big Smile

I agree nice fish… quit bashing.

I live 10 minutes away… have not been there since I was much younger. At one time, it nothing to see dogs and people swimming there… people fishing and everyone enjoying the area. We all rode dirt bikes around the area. Now I know where all the little green monsters came from years later. Smile

Those are pretty nice size fish. Maybe more lakes should be treated with toxins.
