Drove out this morning with the truck....follow truck tracks out...some areas had decent amount of snow drifts but nothing a truck can't handle...had mine on 4x4 to be safe....strong NW current made it difficult to catch any fish...current slowed down and finally caught some whitefish...ice is in good condition, the small crack that was there 2-3wks ago healed up well...drive out at ur own risk and good luck fishing!
"The Crowd" is about a mile out on the reef and its anywhere from 22-35ft out their from my understanding. I saw trucks driving out their, but travel at your own risk. I would never cross any cracks with my vehicle and there is a couple small ones to get out there. ATV and snowmobile is good to go for sure, but I wouldn't risk a vehicle.......I had 15 inches of ice in 24ft last week. I'm sure there is more now.

Set up in 24ft at 8am. Typical slider rig with minnow on bottom and waxies on slider. All they wanted today was minnow heads. Probably had a dozen bites landing 6 from 8-11am. Kept 3 Whitefish all about 19 inches. I crossed one small crack but set up near the 2nd crack. Saw some people driving out to the reef but I’m not that brave. Marked quite a few fish but coaxing the bite was the tough part. Only one fish came on the slide hook.
