Similar to my last report, had some tipups out and jigging. Fished for about 3-4 hours. Some small bluegills and a lot of VERY small perch... 1 perch was maybe 6.5" but besides that none topped 4-5"... 1 flag with a ripped up shiner that got dropped. Tight lines!

Went from 2 until dark today, solid 6-8" of ice and one guy had a wheeler out. 4 tip ups and jigging between 3 guys. 1 flag (missed snake at the hole), lots of very tiny perch (3" or so) and some gills mostly small but a few were pushing 7-8". cold but still fun. Tight lines all!
2 small spots still open water this morning. most of the areas that were open two days ago have skimmed over but with the temps we have had and the high temps this weekend, very little ice is being made. If you stayed real close to shore in the little bay to the right...maybe there is safe ice. But I would not chance it this weekend. you go anywhere to the left of boat landing or straight out or certainly over the deep water and it was open yesterday. Go to Clear if you need to get out, sheltered better from the wind the last week and has some safe ice although open water there too. Or do what I am doing, go to Eagle River.
