Fishing for panfish has been very poor, few perch and some crappies is about it. Northern fishing has been fairly good.

Fishing was slow off the east landing on Sunday the 11th. A buddy and I fished 8 hours and could count our fish on both hands. Ice was thin but was good ice.

Fished last night and ended up catching 12 bass, all released. Biggest was 19" and 4lbs.

Chico, as far as crappies, there are some decent ones in there. I've caught several 12" through the ice with lots of 9 and 10". They should be up shallow here soon.

My sisters are having a craft retreat at Memories on Miramir on Spooner Lake in a couple weeks. Two of my sisters insist that I take them fishing. It is too early for gills but are there any crappies of decent size to pursue? Appreciate the help as they only fish once a year maybe.

What's the bass report like right now? Have they moved into pre spawn areas near the shallows?

Stopped by tonight after work to check out the lake. Main body of lake is open but did notice ice out between the islands. I called my cousin who lives down by the East end and it's open on that end. I'm going to give it a try on Saturday morning and see what I can do.
