For the last two years I set a goal for myself. Beat my PB largemouth. Not on any lake but on the same lake I caught my first five pounder. Yesterday it finally happened. Some people on here know what lake I usually fish, it can be tough out there, but I know there is potential to catch a true south eastern Wisconsin giant. Thought the bite would be tough with the high pressure and the water looking like pea soup. I was wrong. Fish were up shallow and feeding hard. 19.5" Five pounds Four ounces.

Not sure why anyone would decide to keep and eat a trophy of any fish. Keeping it for skin mount or releasing it makes most sense. If you like eating bass why not keep some 14-17 inchers instead of a trophy that could spawn some great genes.

Made it out for a couple hours today and probably should have stayed home. Small bass were jumping in the boat, but the panfish I were after were a little tough. Water came up a little and was murky. Things will pick up when the weather stabilizes. On a side note this Lickina** clown is posting on every thread, block him and if everyone else does the same maybe he will go away.
