It's the BooM Site just upriver from Stillwater. The entire St. Croix River is good for smallies. Good luck to ya!

Is it boom or boon? Is it off the St Croix?

Just north of Stillwater, you'll see it 'cause it's labeled (big sign). You can go all the way to up to the dam (it's a haul), the further up stream you go it gets shallow but less boat traffic and very good fishing. Use your electronics to locate deeper holes in the channel, they'll hold walleye/sauger. Work the shore for bass, northerns, musky. Good luck and straight lines.

Kail, Fish the channel north of the Boon, go up as far as you want, it just gets better. Some of the back bays hold fish but the main channel is better, cast to deep and pull to shallow. Use spinners, cranks, or jigs, artificial is better than live. Be ready, lots of different fish in this water.
