Surveyor, nobody in our immediate area has shiners
MOON PHASE (66%)
We were out on Sunday. Ended up with 3 coho and one small brown. Marked only a couple more. We fished from 7:00 to around 1:00 in 15 to 28 FOW. Saw a nice mid-20s Brown caught and released next to us.
Does anyone know a bait shop in the Hurley/ironwood area that has lake shiners and is open at 6:00 AM?

The ice sheet blew back in sometime last week and the fishing was excellent for a few days. Good mix of cohos, browns, lakers, herring and whitefish. All depths have been producing, all of your usual big lake baits are working. I actually caught the biggest laker of my life today, no idea on size but has to be at least 20lbs. Guys are taking machines out but I’ll keep walking lol. The bite really took a hit this afternoon once the front passed through.
I know there were some guys fishing out there on Saturday. Don’t think the ice is good over toads little girls point tho. More towards marble point and the bad. Check out the sat photos and see for yourself. Was warm today and we had a pretty good south wind yesterday so hopefully it’s still there. Picture below is sat photo from today. Looks like it’s still there. Can’t comment on the quality of though... I’ll do some asking around tomorrow and see if I can get you some more info. I wanted to get out there Sunday myself.

In case cdet doesn't see this, last time we talked a bit ago, he told me that if he could get a boat out of the harbor, he'd be fishing from the boat as the lake was open then. I think he has fished the harbor and managed a fish here and there, but again that was some time ago...
